Big Five
The Convener
You build the plan and make sure it is kind. Curious, organised, sociable and steady, you bring people together around good ideas and look after them on the way.

Strengths
- You turn fresh ideas into well-run projects that include everyone.
- You bring different people together and help them work well.
- You stay calm and constructive when things get complicated.
- You follow through on commitments and help others do the same.
- You listen to new perspectives and fold them into the plan.
Next level
- Make one decision on your own this month without polling the group first.
- Protect some time just for you, as firmly as you protect group meetings.
- Let a disagreement stand for a while, rather than resolving it straight away.
The table you set for good ideas
You are the one who says "we should start a community garden" and then actually does it. You find the land, gather the neighbours, write the plan, run the meetings and make sure the quietest person gets a say. Projects with you at the centre tend to be both well organised and genuinely welcoming.
You are curious and open-minded. You love new ideas, especially ones that could improve something for other people. You read widely and you listen well, and you are always looking for better ways to do things.
You are sociable and warm. You enjoy people, you remember what matters to them and you take care to include everyone. You are also organised. You keep lists, chase actions and finish what you start.
You are calm under pressure. When a meeting gets tense, you stay level and steer it somewhere useful. When a plan hits trouble, you look for solutions rather than blame.
This combination makes you a natural convener of people around a shared aim. You are equally at home brainstorming and building the spreadsheet, and people trust you because you are clearly doing it for the group, not for yourself.
Who gathers round your table, and who leaves crumbs
You get on with people who are engaged and kind. Collaborators who bring ideas and follow through, friends who are curious and sociable, and anyone who wants to make something better for others. You enjoy lively, constructive groups where people disagree respectfully.
You are worn out by cynics and free riders. People who criticise every plan but never help, who skip the work and turn up for the credit, or who make groups feel competitive and cold. Constant drama can also drain you, especially when it pulls focus from the shared goal.
Make sure the people around you give back as well as gather. You host a lot of tables. Accept an invitation to someone else's now and then. Being looked after is not a break from your role. It is how you keep doing it well.
